A good moving company is usually booked at least one month out in the summertime

Moving from City to City Within the Same State:

Moves that are within the same state you should find a moving company 6 to 8 weeks before your move date. Sometimes there are fewer movers who will move to another city within the same state. Plus, if you are moving across the state you might need two days for your move. If you procrastinate it might be hard to find a quality moving company.

Moving from one State to Another State

Moving to another State is a lot more complex than interstate moves, so you should give at least 10 weeks in advance of your move date. Your move can take several days. A good moving company might not have enough days open for your move.
